Information You Submit
A name, phone number, or address entered into a search box is sent to the outside provider that supplies that result service. Westfield Residents Directory does not retain a copy of those searches. A message sent to us contains the information you choose to include and is used to respond.
Routine Technical Data
Hosting records ordinary log details such as IP address, browser type, requested pages, and timestamps. We review this in aggregate for site operation and page-use patterns. Basic analytics or advertising measurement may use cookies or similar technology.
How Data Is Used
We use limited technical information to operate, repair, measure, and improve the service. Visitor lists are not sold, and we do not create individual visitor profiles.
Outside Links and Tools
Links lead to Massachusetts and Hampden County records portals, local-history collections, archives, and sponsored result services. An outside service's own privacy notice governs data submitted there, including information entered in a sponsored search result.
Service Providers and Disclosure
Hosting and support providers process the server-log information needed to run the service. Analytics and advertising partners may receive the automatic data described above. Information is disclosed when valid legal process requires it and otherwise only as described here.
Safeguards and Retention
The service uses an encrypted connection, and logs are kept only for the operational purposes described above. There are no user accounts, passwords, or user profiles maintained by Westfield Residents Directory.
Users Under 18
The site is meant for adults and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18; if you believe a minor has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Requests About Your Data
You may ask about personal data that this service keeps. Massachusetts research for this project did not identify an enacted comprehensive consumer-data deletion or universal-opt-out law; privacy protections include G.L. c.93H and 201 CMR 17.00 safeguards for covered personal information. Because this service retains little data, a request normally involves the contact mailbox and available server logs. Use the Contact page. Public records held by Massachusetts, Hampden County, or Westfield custodians are outside our control and must be addressed to the holding office.
Policy Changes
Revisions will appear on this policy. Continued use after a posted revision indicates acceptance of the updated terms.
